Most companies will allow you to renew Visitor Insurance or Travel Medical Insurance policy online if you decide to extend your visit. Some companies will ask you to submit a new application. You can find information about policy renewals for travel insurance on this page.
Most policies won't automatically renew, so you should learn about renewal requirements and processes before you choose your plan if there is a chance you might stay longer than you initially planed to.
- If additional coverage time is needed, a new application and subscription agreement must be completed, and correct plan cost submitted to Global Underwriters Agency. A new Coinsurance, Deductible, and Pre-existing Condition exclusion will apply at each subsequent period of Coverage.
All other plans cannot be renewed. You can purchase another plan if you need additional coverage. Re-enroll in Visit USA plan prior to the expiration date of the first policy. The ‘Requested Effective Date’ should be one day after the first policy's expiration date.
If additional coverage time is needed, a new application and subscription agreement must be completed.
